The Perumpadappu Santa Cruz Roman Catholic Parish Church, historically significant in the Diocese of Kochi—known as the “Grandmother of the dioceses” in the Catholic Church of India—was originally called the Unni Mishiha Church. Dedicated to the Holy Cross, the church’s main celebration is the Feast of the Infant Jesus . Within the Kochi Diocese, the largest gathering of confraternity( DHARSHANA SAMOOHAM) is the key highlight of this feast.

The Friday Novena of Unnisho is remarkable for the participation of people from various castes and religions. Every year, the main celebrations include the Novena Annual Feast in August, the Feast of the Holy Cross in September, and the Feast of the Infant Jesus that follows Christmas. July 4 is also celebrated as the Parish Adoration Day( Edavaka Dinam).
